“The Path of Sacred Exercises and Deeper Healing”
This is a profound journey into the art of mindful movement, energy awareness, and natural living. Rooted in ancient wisdom and modern science, this healing art introduces a holistic system that harmonizes the five universal elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space — within the body, mind, and spirit. Each element represents a unique dimension of human experience: grounding and stability (Earth), adaptability and flow (Water), vitality and transformation (Fire), breath and clarity (Air), and awareness and expansion (Space). Through structured movement sequences, meditative practices, and therapeutic breathwork, practitioners learn how to balance these elements in daily life, cultivating inner strength, emotional harmony, and energetic alignment. he Shinsei Taiso Do training is more than a physical discipline — it is a path of self-mastery and awakening guiding individuals to reconnect with the natural rhythm of life and the deeper intelligence within.
In Shinsei Taiso Do, the Five Elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space — shape every level of practice, guiding the body, mind, and energy back into balance. These elements come alive through three key aspects: Kaizen Flow, a continuous body workout that activates strength, mobility, and resilience; Taiso Flow, a set of mindful and meditative movement forms that calm the mind and deepen awareness; and Ki Flow, a healing touch therapy system that restores energetic harmony and supports emotional release. Together, they create a holistic path to stability, vitality, and inner transformation.
At every level of training, practitioners engage in all three core aspects — Kaizen Flow, Taiso Flow, and Ki Flow — ensuring that growth is balanced and multidimensional. Alongside these practices, each level includes lifestyle management training, helping practitioners integrate the Five Elements into daily living. This combination ensures that with every level you advance, you evolve physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically — creating lasting transformation from the inside out.
Kaizen Flow – Continuous Functional Bodywork
Kaizen Flow is the physical foundation of Shinsei Taiso Do. Through continuous, progressive bodywork exercises, practitioners develop strength, flexibility, balance, and natural mobility. The movements are simple yet deeply transformative, helping release physical tension while improving posture, coordination, and overall vitality. Kaizen Flow teaches the body how to evolve step-by-step — creating sustainable change through mindful repetition and consistent improvement.
Taiso Flow – Mindful & Meditative Movement Forms
Taiso Forms bring the mind and body into harmonious alignment through slow, intentional, meditative movement. Each form is designed to cultivate inner stillness, breath awareness, and emotional balance. As practitioners move with presence, they learn to regulate their nervous system, calm mental chatter, and strengthen focus. Taiso Forms serve as a moving meditation that reconnects you with your natural rhythm, helping you embody clarity, serenity, and conscious awareness in everyday life.
Ki Flow – Healing Touch & Energy Regulation
Ki Flow is the healing therapy component of Shinsei Taiso Do. This gentle touch-based system teaches practitioners to sense, guide, and balance subtle energy within the body. Through structured techniques, Ki Flow supports stress release, emotional clearing, and nervous system regulation. It awakens the skill of intuitive healing while remaining grounded in sensitivity, compassion, and precision. Ki Flow empowers practitioners to become catalysts of harmony — for themselves and for others.
Training Progression in Shinsei Taiso Do:
- Level 1 begins with Kaizen Flow Body Workout – a foundational practice that builds awareness, posture, mobility, and daily self-improvement habits.
- Next, you progress to Taiso Flow Forms – structured movement patterns that align breath, balance, and coordinated body mechanics.
- Finally, you integrate Ki Flow – subtle energy-based practices that refine inner focus, emotional regulation, and mind–body harmony.
Neuroscience Insight:
This progression is designed to rewire your nervous system step-by-step. Kaizen Flow activates motor learning and habit formation pathways, Taiso Flow enhances neural connectivity through patterned movement, and Ki Flow engages the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting calm, clarity, and improved emotional resilience. Together, they create a complete mind-body training system.
Five Principles of Shinsei Taiso do:
The Shinsei Principles form the foundation of the entire art of Shinsei Taiso Do, guiding every movement, mindset, and transformation within the practice. These principles remind practitioners to approach training with awareness, and an open mind, allowing personal growth to unfold naturally. By following the Shinsei Principles, students not only learn physical techniques but also develop discipline, emotional stability, and a deeper connection to their true self—making the practice a holistic journey of renewal and inner mastery.

History & Philosophy
The healing art of Shinsei Taiso Do was founded and developed by Dr. Cibi John Francis, an educator, visionary, author, and researcher who dedicated decades of his life to exploring the deeper connections between the body, mind, and energy systems. Rooted in profound studies of Eastern philosophies, Dr. Francis immersed himself in the disciplines of traditional martial arts, healing and meditative movement systems, yogic sciences, and touch-based energy healing practices, while also integrating the science of modern psychology and neuroscience.
Through years of research, observation, and practice, Dr. Francis discovered that healing is not merely a process—it is a movement of consciousness. By studying how energy, breath, and intention interact with human physiology and emotion, he developed a method that harmonizes the five elemental forces of nature—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space—within the human system.
The philosophy of Shinsei Taiso Do rests upon three timeless principles
- 1. Balance through Awareness - True healing begins when one becomes aware of inner and outer harmony.
- 2. Movement as Medicine - Every conscious movement can become a doorway to release, renewal, and awakening.
- 3. Energy as the Essence of Life - All healing begins with understanding and directing the life force that sustains us.
From its early beginnings as a series of experimental energy-movement practices, Shinsei Taiso Do has now evolved into an integrated healing art that serves as both a personal transformation path and a professional training system. It has touched the lives of individuals, therapists, and practitioners worldwide — empowering them to become Shinsei Coaches and Healers, spreading harmony and holistic well-being wherever they go.
Today, Shinsei Taiso Do continues to grow as a global movement of healing and conscious living, uniting the heart of the East with the mind of the West — reminding us that every breath, every movement, and every thought is an opportunity to return to balance, vitality, and the true self.
The Background:
The creation of Shinsei Taiso Do® is the result of a lifelong journey of discovery, experience, and dedication to understanding the connection between the human body, mind, and energy. Developed by Dr. Cibi John Francis, an educator, researcher, author, and visionary, this system evolved through years of deep study and practice rooted in Eastern philosophies, traditional martial arts, energy healing, meditation, yoga, psychology, and neuroscience.
The Beginning of a Healing Journey
Dr. Francis's journey into the healing arts began unexpectedly during his years of martial arts training. It was grading day at his academy, and as a senior student, he was assisting others through the evaluation process. During a sparring session, one of the students received a heavy punch to the ribs and collapsed in pain. Without hesitation, Dr. Francis placed his right palm over the student’s rib area, sensing an intuitive urge to help.
In that moment, he felt a warm vibration in his palm and a powerful flow of energy passing into the student’s body. Within minutes, the student's pain subsided, and he stood up, visibly relieved. Dr. Francis was deeply moved and astonished by this spontaneous act of healing — having had no formal training in touch-healing or energy work at the time. That evening, while reflecting on the experience, he asked himself the questions that would shape his life's purpose:
“What is this energy? How does it work? And why do we all have it?”
The First Awakening
Soon after, another experience profoundly changed his understanding of human energy. During a special workshop, his grand master demonstrated the hidden power of internal energy — Ki, Chi, or Prana — by bending a coin using focused intention alone. Witnessing this act of energy manifestation left Dr. Francis inspired, emotional, and in awe. He realized that the force which sustains life and movement also holds the potential to heal, transform, and empower.
These two life-changing experiences — spontaneous healing and witnessing the mastery of energy — became the foundation of his lifelong mission to uncover the science and spirituality of healing energy.
Early Research and Discoveries
Driven by curiosity, he began to study and discuss the phenomenon of energy flow with his martial arts mentors. Through exploration and experimentation, he identified five key principles that govern the effective use of energy:
- 1. Slow and Gentle Movements - Promote harmony and balance in energy flow.
- 2. Stillness and Focus - Strengthen concentration and internal awareness.
- 3. Visualization - Direct energy through mental clarity and intention.
- 4. Meditation - Cultivate healing, calmness, and expanded consciousness.
- 5. Breathwork – Integrate physical vitality with mental and spiritual balance.
Through continuous study, he discovered that across ancient traditions — from Yoga and Ayurveda in India, Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, to Reiki in Japan — the same universal truth echoed: the human being is an energetic system connected to the life force of the universe.
Formal Training and Integration Dr. Francis began his formal healing journey in 2002 at the Karuna Life Rhythm Reiki Centre under Dr. Ashok Kumar, receiving his Reiki Master's Attunement. He later advanced his studies under Dr. Rojen Joseph, a Reiki Master and Pranic Healer, India.
In 2003, his path deepened under Yogacharya Marikarji, an Indian classical yoga master, where he underwent traditional yogic training — early morning meditations, in-depth study of the Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads, and rigorous yoga practice. These years cultivated clarity, self-discipline, and deeper insight into Sparsh Chikitsa — the ancient Indian science of touch healing. Dr. Francis's lifelong curiosity about the inner workings of human energy and consciousness led him to explore beyond his early training and into the profound wisdom traditions of the East.
In addition to his deep study of yoga, Reiki, and martial disciplines, he immersed himself in the ancient teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Taoist and Confucian philosophies of balance and harmony, and the Japanese systems of discipline, mindfulness, and spiritual refinement. His readings and research covered a wide range of texts—from the Tao Te Ching and the I Ching to the writings of Zen masters and the principles of Bushido. He also delved deeply into Buddhist philosophy, studying its perspectives on compassion, mindfulness, detachment, and the nature of suffering. Through this cross-cultural exploration, he began to recognize a common thread—the idea that life force energy flows through all beings, and that true healing arises when body, mind, and spirit move in unity with nature's rhythm. This synthesis of Chinese, Japanese, and Buddhist wisdom profoundly influenced the philosophical foundation of Shinsei Taiso Do, shaping it into a holistic healing art that bridges ancient tradition with modern understanding.
For over many years, Dr. Francis practiced Reiki intensively, treating clients with a wide range of physical and emotional conditions. He observed that stress, unhealthy diet, and lack of physical movement were the root causes of many modern illnesses. To address this, he began integrating gentle exercises and breathing techniques into Reiki sessions — leading to faster and more holistic recovery.
Evolution into New Healing Models
This integration gave rise to Martial Arts Therapy, which later evolved into HETSLife® (Holistic Exercise Therapy System and Life Transformation) — a comprehensive model combining exercise, meditation, nutrition, energy healing, and life coaching.
As his research expanded, Dr. Francis realized that many healers struggled with maintaining their own energy. Healing, he concluded, is not only a spiritual act but also a physical and energetic discipline. Just as the elements of nature — earth, water, fire, air, and space — are always in gentle motion, the human body must also remain in harmonious movement to sustain vitality and prevent stagnation.
This realization led to the creation of Shinsei Taiso Do®, a healing art that unites the meditative essence of Eastern healing traditions with modern scientific understanding — blending movement, mindfulness, breathwork, and touch therapy into a single, balanced practice.
A New Chapter
In 2007, Dr. Francis relocated to South Africa, where he established a Reiki and holistic healing centre. While working as an educator, he continued his healing research, offering volunteer sessions that combined hands-on healing, mindful movement, and guided breathwork.
In South Africa, he continued advanced training with Master Bev in Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Lightarian Reiki, and Munay-Ki. His global studies also included Raja Yoga, and energy mastery under Sri Jyothis Namboodiri of the Brahma Kumaris tradition (South Africa). These influences helped shape the multidimensional structure of Shinsei Taiso Do — bridging Eastern and Western approaches to self-healing and human transformation.

The Present Vision
After more than two decades of dedicated research, teaching, and practice, Dr. Francis consolidated his knowledge into a complete and teachable system — Shinsei Taiso Do®. In 2022, he completed his bookwork ‘The Authentic Book of Shinsei Taiso Do’ and developed the formal training manuals that define the philosophy, structure, and healing techniques of the system.
Today, through the Shinsei Circle® & Shinsei Elevate® Masterclass, workshops, and practitioner training programs, Dr. Francis continues to share this art with individuals and professionals worldwide — empowering them to heal themselves, teach others, and bring balance to their communities. His healing art of Shinsei Taiso Do® is more than a method — it is a bridge between science and spirituality, discipline and flow, self-healing and universal harmony.
